welcome to Cell Block D

I got a a crazy hair up my ass on Sunday and decided to paint the very large yellow wall in my Living Room this (what I thought would be) a killer "pottery barnish" blue color.

Yeah, not so much.

It's like the inside of a jail now. NOT the effect I was going for. So I get to paint it again. Which

is fine. What I'm really not looking forward to doing is going back and fourth to Home Depot a billion times buying quart and quart of 'tester' paints until I find the exact right one.

But when it is done - it will rock!

I haven't seen it in real life, but I like it in the picture! I love the orange accents with it. Good luck on finding your PERFECT color! Tammi

Oh my gosh! I can so relate. I tried to find the perfect blue for my bedroom foreeeeeeever. I had 8 different swatches of paint up there and we finally ended up painting it taupe. Ha ha! Good luck finding the right blue. :)

Haha! And that my dear friend is why I love brown and tan. ;)

Seriously though, in the picture it looks really pretty and very pottery barn-ish. I know I was devastated when I found out you were changing my favorite yellow wall, but the different color looks great! Is it that bad or are you just not bonding with it yet?

Girl, you crack me up. Seriously. You are crazy funny. Cell Block D has never looked so nice, and personalized!

I kind of like it but it's hard to tell in a picture.
At least it's just 1 wall and not the entire room.

I try to stay away from that "institutional" look and realized that only Martha Stewart can make it look remotely good.

This coming from someone with a screaming yellow kitchen.

Ha! I stink at color swatches, so I feel your pain. But it looks kind of cool in the photo, so maybe it will grow on you?

I really, really like the orange with it!

What don't you like about it? And how do you know what the inside of a jail cell looks like? Is that a WHOLE OTHER post? ;)
